LEASIDE REAL ESTATE TORONTO

LEASIDE First settled by John Lea in 1819, it was his son William who built an eight-sided Octagon shape house named "Leaside". It is still there today near the Leaside Memorial Gardens. This Toronto Neighbourhood has been called LEASIDE ever since.

'The Town of Leaside' was incorporated in 1913 by the Canadian Northern Railway, and The Leaside Junction Station was built in 1894. This is when 'LEASIDE' became a name and location on the map. But Leaside's status as a Town ended in 1967 when it became part of the Borough of East York, which has since amalgamated with the City of Toronto. It was the first 'planned on paper' town in Ontario.

ORIGINAL BUILD RENOVATED NEW

Typical Leaside homes are Tudor-style houses built mostly in 1930-1950's. Consisting of Detached, Two-Storey, Semi-Detached and Bungalows, a lot of Leaside Residential Real Estate have maintained the beautiful wood trim, hardwood floors and working fireplaces.

There has been alot of Residential development over the past few years, where homes and houses have been topped up to become Two-Storey Homes. Detached houses have been renovated, additions have been added, while others have been replaced by newly built custom luxury properties. There are also a handful of exclusive Condominiums and Townhouses in Leaside's Neighbourhood. Leaside has a wonderful sense of community and it's Residential Real Estate is highly sought after in Toronto's Real Estate Market.

In 1927 the Leaside Viaduct Bridge was built across the Don Valley and an underpass was built below the Railway Line.
